Six questions after every fight
When I review a fight, I check six things, in this order. Ask yourself the same six about your own fights when you watch your replays.
- Was it worth it? It has to bring you more than you lose in it.
- Was it quick? A quick fight where nobody joined is good. About 10 seconds is quick. If it went on long enough for someone else to join, it took too long. Third party
- Good edit or bad edit? A bad edit without a good peek means he shoots first. Entry and boxfights
- Good pressure? Good pressure means he has to keep cancelling his Biggies and never gets a full one off. If you had a good entry but then took counterdamage without hitting him back, your pressure was not good enough and the fight is no longer worth it. Entry and boxfights
- Exit piece or all-in? Playing for exit pieces is the safe way to fight, jumping into his box is all-in, a 50/50. Pieces have to work quickly, or the fight drags. Entry and boxfights
- Did you have to take it? Unstacked, you need his loot. Stacked, you did not need the fight, but that only becomes a mistake when it costs you, for example when you die for it or get scuffed. Take or leave
